How did you meet?
We met on facebook through mutual friends, and eventually we began chatting to each other, Cody was living in Auckland and I was in Southland. We finally met a few months later and became inseparable. We dated long-distance for a year and then I finally made the move to Auckland and never looked back!

When and where did you get married?
2nd February 2019 – The Winehouse, Gibbston Valley. (Arrowtown/central Otago is a special spot for us as Cody’s family has a holiday home there, it’s our favourite place and we would always meet there when dating long distance)

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?
Romantic and relaxed

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
Pinterest!!

The most memorable moment from your day:
Our first look at each other, when I was walking down the aisle

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:
Wagon Wheel! We are both from Southland so this was fitting

We honeymooned in:
We stayed in Central Otago to soak up as much time as possible with all of our loved ones (nearly everyone had travelled to be there) and then came back to Auckland for a week on our own where we went on dates and enjoyed day trips like Waiheke. It was so relaxing not having to really go anywhere. We travel overseas a lot, so this was just perfect.

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
Not exactly. I think my taste has changed and evolved over the years. I just knew I wanted something stunning, classic and fitted.
