“A huge thank you to the lovely Trish who designed my custom wedding dress. The whole process from start to finish was so special. From the fittings to the design concept, Trish was so professional and attentive to every detail. She even managed to incorporate parts of my Mother's wedding dress that meant the world to me. Thank you for being so welcoming and down to earth. I loved the whole TP experience “

How did you meet?
Crete and I first met at intermediate school in 2002. I was Year 8 and he was Year 7. We both went on to the same High School and unfortunately, I was the super annoying girl who would always say hi to him by the tuck shop. When he moved schools when I was Year 11 I didn't see him again until I was 23-years-old at our local bar. Is it too cliche to say it was fate haha?

When and where did you get married?
We got married in Queenstown, New Zealand in March this year. Our ceremony was held at the beautiful Thurlby Domain grounds. Followed by our reception at Skyline Queenstown.

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day
Rustic/greenery themes. All elements highlighting natural surrounds.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
Being Queenstown, the biggest drawcard for us having it there was the captivating mountainous backdrop you see as soon as you land. We incorporated The Remarkables in our invites through to signage.

The most memorable moment from your day:
There were two. 1. When Crete turned around when I was walking down the aisle and his reaction. 2. Having my beautiful Nana Viola there. She was the only grandparent present on the day and that was really special.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:
Charly Black- Gyal You A Party Animal. You need to download it if you haven't heard! The song will get you wanting to dance for sure!

We honeymooned in:
We spent extra days in Queenstown after the wedding and a highlight was doing the Nevis Bungy Swing (highly recommend!). However, we are still planning on going for a proper honeymoon soon.

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I always knew I wanted lace and to have my Mother's dress incorporated somehow. Trish pulled both together both elements and I am so grateful she was able to articulate my thoughts and create something truly beautiful.
