How did you and your husband meet?
Cam and I had multiple meet-cutes. We first met through our passion for running. You could say we literally ran into each other's lives, as we were both cast in the same TV commercial for a running sports brand, then coincidentally I started to be coached by the same coach as Cam, and the rest is history.

When and where did you get married?
09.12.2022 - Mantell's Mt Eden

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?
Timeless, classic and simple. Our venue was already so beautiful, and felt like we were in Europe, so for us it was just complimenting it with white flowers and greenery.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
Pinterest is the best! It is such an easy and simple way to look for inspo, and create your own mood board for what you want your wedding day to look like.

The most memorable moment from your day:
There were so many memorable moments from our day, I can't pick one. I wish I could relive them all again. I loved all of the excitement of getting ready with my girls, having champagne, chatting and giggling our heads off all morning. Our first look was also one of my favourite moments from our day. I didn't think I would be nervous seeing Cam on our wedding day, but I was, and as soon as I saw his face at our first look, all of my nerves disappeared. I just felt so happy and excited!! Plus, it was such a special moment to share, as we had both of our parents, siblings and bridal parties watching us from inside. It was so sweet to turn around after we had been crying, laughing, kissing and hugging for who knows how long, and seeing all of their familiar loving faces. And of course, I couldn't forget walking down the aisle in front of all of the most important people in our lives and marrying the love of my life. It truly was the most beautiful day of my life.

We honeymooned in:
Cam and I went on a small honeymoon in Wanaka and Queenstown straight after our wedding. It was so special to head away as newly weds and soak up the newly married bubble. We would also love to go and celebrate in Europe so we are planning a honeymoon in Italy and Spain, for possibly this year or next.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:
Memories - Kid Cudi and David Guetta

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
For years I have always had an idea of what I would love my wedding dress to look like. This included for it to have sleeves and to be a fitted design, which is exactly what I stuck with. However, the design of the beading was one that I didn't truly know until Trish sketched an incredible design for me. One of the magic things of choosing a custom dress is the process and the journey you go on. You get to see your dream dress transform from a sketch, into a calico and then finally into your dream wedding dress.

Choosing a custom made wedding dress also means you can create exactly what you dream of, and you can modify and add more to it throughout the process. I remember at one of my last fittings, I was literally standing in my dress and Trish had this magic pen she was drawing on the dress with, and we were adding lines where more beading should be. It was such a fun and incredible process with Trish, and one that I know will be a once in a lifetime experience.
I have heard a quote going around recently - "every girl deserves to have a custom dress made at some point in their life" and what better dress could it be than your wedding dress.
